How to Create an AI Transcript

Creating and managing transcripts is crucial for post-production teams. To make transcription seamless, Delta integrates artificial intelligence for automatic transcription of any clip in your media library.
There are two ways to create an AI Transcript for a clip:
Option 1 – Create an AI Transcript from the Library
- Navigate to the Library page.
- Click on a record to expand it, revealing the list of clips contained in it.
- Next to each clip, on the right side, there is an "Options" button. Click this button to open a dropdown menu with options relating to the clip.
- Click "Auto-transcribe clip". Delta will immediately begin working on your automatic transcript.

Option 2 – Create an AI Transcript from the Transcript Editor
- Navigate to the Library page.
- Click on a record to expand it, revealing the list of clips contained in it.
- Choose a clip you want to transcribe, and click the small keyboard icon near the right-side of the clip's row. Alternatively, you can click "Options" and select "Open transcript".
- Delta will bring you to the Transcript Editor, the interface for managing manual or automatic transcripts. On the top of the page, there is a toggle for "Manual" and "Automatic". Click on "Automatic".
- Finally, click the "Generate Auto-Transcript" button in the middle of the page. Delta will immediately begin working on your transcript.
- Click the "Refresh" button after roughly a minute to see your auto-transcript!

Checking on the status of your AI Transcripts
It's important for teams using Delta to have access to their full AI Transcript history, and to be able to track the progress of transcripts as they're being generated by Delta.
